Hello world, meet the dominant parts of my MEcosystem.
From left to right:
Shell: Teenage rebel part. Main emotion is anger and rage, but she also has some vulnerability. She was previously imprisoned (or exiled, if you will) in the seashell you see at her feet, that’s where her name comes from. Unpredictable, in the eternal struggle of Order Vs. Chaos, she embodies chaos.
Carolyn: Manager, runs the everyday life. Exiles troublesome parts - she’s the one who trapped Shell. Represents order to Shell’s chaos.
Jean: 4-year old child part. Nicknamed Little Wolf. Main emotion is fear and worry. Sometimes will spontaneously regress back to a months old infant.
Peter: 8-year old child part. Main emotions are shame and humiliation, emphasized by his complete lack of clothing other than a white blanket tied around his waist.
Addict: Addicted to pleasure/distractions. My pastimes are mainly electronic, such as the computer, video games, my iPod, my cell phone, etc., that’s why I picture him as a puppet bound by a million strings (or wires, in his case) constantly pushing to turn our brain off and have fun.
I’d like to mention the fact that all of these parts of me are significantly happier and healthier now than they look on these drawings. The artist was pretty busy when I contacted her and it took her a few months to get to me, so I’ve been able to work a lot with them during that time :)
(Huge thanks to forte-girl7 for the amazing art)
