Co-worker: So you’re not seeing your parents this Christmas? Me: Nope Co-worker: If you weren’t working, would you? Me: Oh gosh, no. Co-worker: Why not? Me: Because I hate them. Took me a year and a half to say it. When I finally did say it, I felt confident. Maybe it’s the brief FOO contact I got this week. Any which way, I’m glad. Certainty feels great.
